Sometimes a week of vacation can change the course of a life. While driving in Maryland during a family vacation in the fall of 2000, the Moore family began to dream about an organization and a website with resources for Christian girls and their parents. Daughters 4 God was launched in March, 2006.

Joy has been mentoring girls for nearly 30 years. Though she has served the church in many roles over the years, discipleship has always been central part of each ministry. After a brief career as a public school music teacher, Joy has spent the last 18 years homeschooling her daughters. Her heart is to equip families to raise children who are madly in love with Jesus, who know what they believe and who live a Kingdom life. Besides being a wife and mother, Joy is also a speaker, the author of several books and the co-founder of Daughters4God.

Professionally, Harold worked in retail merchandising with JC Penney and in marketing for both CBN Radio and The Family Channel. After working for twenty years in business, God called Harold into full-time ministry in 1997. Since that time he has served as an administrator and more recently as an associate pastor at Harvest Assembly in Chesapeake, VA. Harold and Joy have been married for 25 years and have four daughters.

Recently, she was honored to use her violin and vocal skills on two different albums. In the future, she plans to pursue violin performance and perhaps teaching private lessons.
