Sometimes a week of vacation can change the course of a life. While driving in Maryland during a family vacation in the fall of 2000, the Moore family began to dream about an organization and a website with resources for Christian girls and their parents. Daughters 4 God was launched in March, 2006.

Professionally, Harold spent seven years in retail merchandising with JC Penney. He spent the next nearly ten years in marketing for CBN Radio and The Family Channel. In 1997, God called Harold into full-time ministry. Harold has been the administrator for Harvest Assembly in Chesapeake, VA, since 2003. He is on the board of directors for Heart of Compassion Partnerships, a partnership of churches in the Hampton Roads area. He is also on the board of directors for Open Doors, Inc., an organization helping individuals transition to life after incarceration. Harold holds a B.S. in Business from Evangel College and a M.A. in Communications from Regent University.

For more than twenty years, Joy has been actively involved in mentoring girls and women through her roles of camp counselor, public school teacher, teacher of the hearing impaired, children’s choir director, Sunday school teacher, children’s ministry director and small group leader. Since October of 2005, Joy has been privileged to act as coordinator and speaker for a women’s retreat and a mother/daughter retreat, as well as speaker at several other women’s events. She was also honored in 2006 to give the sermon for Mother’s Day at her home church. Currently, Joy is the coordinator of Mpact Clubs at her church, an achievement program to teach girls scripture and doctrine. Joy holds a B.S. in Music Education from Messiah College in Grantham, PA.

Harold and Joy have been married for eighteen years and have homeschooled their four daughters for more than eleven years. Although they each have individual interests, they each desire to be married and have children. Victoria, a high school junior, is a classical pianist, a self-taught guitarist, and is passionate about worship. Called to Southeast Asia at the age of five, she is now preparing to answer God's call. Elisabeth, a ninth grader, enjoys playing piano and has a love for young children. She currently serves as an assistant in a preschool class at church and would like to begin an orphanage ministry in Mexico. Eleven-year-old Anna has a gift of administration. Her interest in the medical field at the age of six has grown into an interest in medical missions in Kenya. Abigail, age nine, plays piano and has just begun studying violin. She wants to be a Mommy and stay in the United States.

Daughters 4 God is dedicated to providing resources to parents who desire to mentor their daughters, building a strong relationship between parent and child and ultimately leading their daughter to a vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ.
